These Are The Best Coffee Machines You Can Get

Coffee machines come in all shapes and sizes, each with its brewing method. For example, one coffee machine is better suited for making whole pots of coffee; the other makes the tastiest milk specialties. Of course, purchasing the best coffee machine for your needs is essential. There is something for everyone, as shown in the top 5 below. For example, I chose the  Sage the Oracle Touch as our king of coffee machines.

  1. Sage the Oracle Touch

Make different types of top-quality coffee specialties, even if you don't have much experience with a piston machine. You can brew everything from the strongest ristretto to the tastiest lattes – all in no time.

This coffee machine, in turn, makes you a true barista!

Add to that its excellent value for money, and you will understand why this model has been voted the best buy.

Siemens EQ9+ S700 Home Connect

  1. Best coffee machine for the office

Capacity: 2.3 liters

Power: 1500 watts

Milk: Reservoir

Weight: 12.7 kilos

Warranty:  2 years

Pressure: 19 bar

This stainless steel wonder has an impressive number of valuable functions hidden in its relatively medium size of 47 x 29.9 x 29.2 cm (DxWxH). Let's dive right in!

Functionalities

To start with, this equipment has a  double bean hopper and a  double thermoblock.

This allows you to brew different cups of coffee based on the coffee beans you use: arabica or robusta (or other types of mixes). The double bean hopper also includes a double conical ceramic grinding disc in this case.

The grinding degree can be adjusted separately for each set of grinding discs. Therefore, your finely ground Arabica coffee is not affected by the raw remains of robusta beans – or vice versa.

A double thermoblock, on the other hand, means that the water and milk are heated separately, so you don't have to wait if you want a coffee with hot milk.

The amount of choice between coffee types you get with the EQ9+ Home Connect is possibly even more critical. You can go from a ristretto to a whole pot of coffee without a single problem.

You can adjust the strength, water temperature, volume, and from which bean container the coffee comes for each recipe. You pass on those settings – and save them as a  profile  – via the buttons under the color screen or via the app.

De'Longhi EC685 Dedica

  1. Best home coffee machine

Capacity: 1 liter

Power:  1350 watts

Milk:  Steam pipe

Weight:  4.2 kilos

Warranty:  2 years

Pressure:  15 bar

The De'Longhi Dedica is a small but delicate powerhouse. Its size and stainless steel design show it is a reasonably straightforward but rock-solid device. The dimensions of 31 x 15 x 33 cm (DxWxH) make it very pleasant to work with at home.

Functionalities

To begin with, this device does not have a built-in coffee grinder. Don't worry. There are plenty of standalone coffee grinders on the market to choose from!

The selector buttons  – for selecting single or double espressos and steam – usually found on a front panel are raised to the top of the chrome strip. In contrast, the on/off button is discreetly concealed along the lower edge of the side.

With these selection buttons, you can also indicate the hardness of the water in your area, set how hot you want your coffee and how quickly the Dedica should switch off after use.

Once you get started, you first choose from the standard portafilter (in the front of the piston) and an ESE filter, where ESE stands for easy serving espresso. This last option makes for a little less mess.

In any case, you can use the steam pipe to froth milk – but also to add extra water to your coffee. You can also drain water from the boiler via the steam pipe if it gets too hot; some people experience that the boiler overheats during intensive use.

There is, however, a  safety mechanism in the device so that your coffee itself never burns. That's one less worry.

Magimix Nespresso Inissia M105

  1. Best budget coffee machine

Capacity: 0.7 liters

Power: 1260 watts

Milk: -

Weight: 2.4 kilos

Warranty:  2 years

Pressure: 19 bar

A Nespresso machine is the perfect option if you don't care much about personalizing your coffee. Do you also have a more modest budget but still want to be able to make a delicious cup of coffee? Then you come to the Magimix Inissia M105!

Although the design is not exciting, its equally modest size of 30 x 12 x 23 cm (DxWxH) easily fits into any kitchen.

In addition, it is made of plastic, which was to be expected for such a friendly-priced device.

Functionalities

When using a Nespresso machine, your flavor choices are limited to the Nespresso flavors that come in well-known cups. You can already expand this repertoire by using a separate milk frother!

In any case, the taste of the coffee largely depends on which cups you use. So read carefully about the Nespresso flavors and try some out!

With the M105, you can choose between an espresso and lungo and adjust the strength; you set how much water you want in your coffee drinks. You don't get that option with every Nespresso machine, let alone a budget model!

Depending on how strong you brew your coffee, you can brew around 6 cups with 0.7 liters of water. The capsules fall closer to the container, which holds about 11 cups. After removing your cup from under the machine, the appliance will switch off if you forget to do so.

While making your cup of coffee, the device makes quite a bit of noise. Although it doesn't bother me much – I think  66.6 dB is not that bad – others indicate that they find this somewhat irritating.
