The impenetrable mountain rainforests of south-west Ethiopia are home to numerous animal and plant species, including more than 200 species of birds. The curious, black-and-white colobus monkeys, which form their own subspecies in Ethiopia, are particularly striking.

In this mountain rainforest region, Original Food and NABU are also intensively committed to sustainable development and thus to the protection of the unique rainforest. In the next few years, NABU will be responsible for a global climate protection project financed with German government participation.

With the purchase of this coffee, you directly support the preservation of the unique nature of Africa, which is also so important for us. For the NABU gourmet coffee, we only use high-quality Arabica beans that are grown and processed according to the strict guidelines of organic farming.

The basis of these exquisite coffee compositions is Ethiopian rainforest coffee, which is harvested by hand by the coffee farmers in the south-west of the country. Thanks to traditional long-term drum roasting, the NABU gourmet coffee develops its full flavor and the balanced aroma, combined with a fine acidity, ensures maximum coffee enjoyment.

The dark Italian roast produces a full-bodied, intense coffee and is particularly suitable for preparation in the espresso or portafilter machine or the espresso pot.
