Honduras Belarmino Contreras

Belarmino grew up with coffee in his blood. He grew up helping his father grow coffee, working the farms and processing mill until age 30 when he started his own 3.5 hectare coffee farm. His older brother started a couple years before him growing specialty grade coffee and showed him how to grow and prepare it.

The varietal Parainema is a lower yielding coffee shrub but the quality is much higher. Also extensive sorting of the dried coffee to yield zero defects further reduces the volume output. All this in the aim of top quality and top dollar, which we are very happy to pay.  This 10 bag lot is from the late harvest container we brought in.

This coffee has a big honey crisp apple flavor profile and acidity, mouthfeel luxurious like heavy cream and a delicate vanilla aroma. With smaller size lots like this, it's all about enjoying the moment and this coffee while it is here.
