The view goes towards the mountains to the south - when the weather is nice we can see the Alps directly from Aßling. Longing - wanderlust - simply desire for Bella Italia. We're all dreaming of going south right now and can't wait for La Dolce Vita. We at the Martermühle coffee roastery bridge the waiting time and bring Italian flair home to the espresso cup with the Italian espresso Caramello. So let's close our eyes and mentally sit on St. Mark's Square in Venice. The sun is shining, we hear people laughing, the cafés are full and we just enjoy life. We have a hot cup of espresso in front of us - powerful, strong and yet really round in aroma. Exactly how the perfect Italian espresso should be. A bit like biting into a perfect cantuccini. The Espresso Caramello is spirited and strong and yet harmoniously balanced. 50% Arabica beans from Brazil and Salvador meet 50% Robusta beans from India and Brazil. The India Monsooned Robusta provides a particularly fine note.

You should definitely try the Espresso Caramello without sugar, the balanced espresso roast is simply wonderful on its own. We recommend preparation in a portafilter or fully automatic machine, but also in the stovetop pot typical of Italian espresso. Especially in fully automatic coffee machines, the Espresso Caramello is an uncomplicated espresso all-rounder. When roasting the Caramello here in our Bavarian coffee roastery, as with all our espresso varieties, we naturally attach great importance to gentle and careful drum roasting at low temperatures. This is how we elicit the full aroma from the beans with little acidity. Admittedly - when roasting our Italia varieties, we sometimes hum along to Eros Ramazotti.
