Our Story
Cultivo is a brand of Uncommon Coffee Roasters. Cultivo means crop, cultivation, farming and culture. At Cultivo, we aim to highlight the ones whose hands tell the story, the cojedores (coffee pickers). Thanks to their hard work we can indulge in this wonderful beverage. Raise your mug and thank the coffee farmers.
Cultivo is more than just a brand. We care about coffee, people, and the environment. We always ensure that our coffee is ethically purchased. We take time to meet many of the coffee farmers and their teams of cojedores (pickers) to be sure that they are treated and paid fairly.
Coffee Grounds
All of our spent Cold Brew Coffee grounds are donated to a local farm, Tiller Willy’s Worm Farm, to be repurposed. Tiller Willy’s uses the grounds for earthworm farming, healthy food growing mediums and chemically free gardening.
Recyclable Packaging
Our coffee comes from the earth and our cartons do too. The primary raw material for our cartons is wood, a renewable resource from responsibly managed forests and other controlled sources. The cartons are fully recyclable, thus reducing raw material use and carbon emissions. The shape of the carton provides more space efficiency during transport and storage; transported as a flat-pack prior to filling further reduces delivery costs and environmental impact.
Our Canned Craft Coffee is packaged in the most sustainable way, a 100% recyclable steel can. These cans are made from up to 60% recycled steel. The airtight seal protects your coffee from oxygen, light and moisture. Once your can is empty, you can easily recycle, reuse, or bring it in to our cafe for a refill.
