Congo Mapendo
Mapendo, swahili for “love,” is grown in the South Kivu region of the Democratic Republic of Congo, this lot was produced by a cooperative of smallholder women farmers. High altitudes, careful processing, coffee variety, and a gender-equity-centered community contribute to its high quality, cleanly pressed, and impressive flavor profile.
This coffee cups well with juicy fruits and exceptional florals: apple, kiwi, mango, and coffee blossom.
