Asia is one of the greatest coffee providers in the world. In some countries the origin of the coffee is linked to a blurry myth or historical event, but as long as they provide good coffee that doesn’t matter.
The most common variety in Asia is the Robusta which meets the local geographical conditions. The first beans were introduced in Yemen by the Dutch East India Company during the 16th century.
Asia now supplies a significant amount of coffee to the coffee market worldwide. The best coffees can be found in the South-East part of the country.
