Salted whipped cream may sound a little crazy, but it pairs super well with our coffee beans from Guatemala! The mildly sweet taste of the filter coffee is enhanced by the creamy salted whipped cream. The perfect drink for summer.

Filter coffee with a salted whipped cream recipe

Requirements

  • French press
  • Hand grinder (optional, you can also order pre-ground beans)
  • Mixer or whisk.
  • Frying bowl
  • Glass

Ingredients

  • Filter coffee
  • 25 grams coarsely ground LeRine Guatemala coffee beans
  • 350 ml 90 degree water
  • Ice cubes
  • Salted whipped cream
  • 100 ml of whipped cream
  • 20 grams of fine granulated sugar
  • Salt flakes to taste

Instructions

Add the ground coffee beans to a French press. Pour the hot water on top of this in a circular motion. Put the cap of the French press on the jug and let the coffee steep in the hot water for 4 minutes. After 4 minutes, press the filter down.

Next, beat the whipping cream until stiff but about cottage cheese thickness. Add the salt flakes to taste. We added 2 teaspoons of salt flakes; it's okay to taste some salt in the whipped cream.

Pour the filter coffee over ice cubes in a glass and spoon two spoonfuls of salted whipped cream on top. Bon appétit!
