ESPRESSO TONIC

Maybe an espresso isn't the first drink you would have on a hot summer day. However, if you combine the espresso with the bitter flavors of tonic, it already sounds a lot more appealing.

Curious about this fifth recipe in this list of specialty coffee recipes? Below you will find the ingredients list and the step-by-step plan for preparation.

For 1 cold glass of espresso tonic you will need:

  • 100 milliliters (cold) tonic;
  • 1 espresso;
  • ice cubes;
  • Optionally, a slice of lemon.

The preparation of a fresh espresso tonic is as follows:

  1. Make an espresso.
  2. Then take a glass and fill it with ice cubes.
  3. Pour the tonic into the glass.
  4. Pour the espresso into the glass with the tonic.
  5. Add a slice of lemon if desired.

Tip:  This espresso tonic is of course best when the coffee is completely cold. So you can let the coffee stand for a while before drinking it, but you can also make the coffee in advance and let it cool in the fridge before you pour it with the tonic.
