Coffee granita with whipped cream

Ingredients for two persons

3 tbsp sugar

1 knife tip cinnamon powder

1 tbsp cocoa powder

250 ml strong espresso coffee

125 ml cream 

You will need this

  • freezer box (content 750 ml) 

How to prepare? 

Dissolve the sugar, cinnamon, and half of the cocoa in the still-hot coffee and let it cool. Freeze the cooled coffee in the low freezer box for 3 hours until ice crystals form. Loosen the frozen coffee with a fork, put the box in the freezer for another hour, and stir again. Repeat freezing and stirring until the coffee is completely frozen (granita). Remove the granita from the freezer 5 minutes before serving. If the ice cream has become too hard, let it stand for a while and then scoop it up with a fork. Beat the whipped cream without sugar until stiff. Spoon alternate layers of coffee granita and whipped cream into two glasses and sprinkle with the rest of the cocoa. Nice with a glass of whisky.
