Yemen Mocha Matari
Arabica coffee, found wild in Ethiopia, was first cultivated in Yemen and spread from here all over the world. Even today, coffee is traditionally grown here on mountain terraces. At an altitude of up to 2,500 meters, the country, together with Ethiopia, has the highest coffee-growing regions in the world. The word mocha in the coffee name has several meanings: The coffee used to be exported via the port city of Mocha and was thus given the nickname Mocha or Mocca (mocha). In Europe, on the other hand, the word mocha was also understood as a way of preparing coffee in a broader sense (short, strong coffee drink). Yemeni Mocca Matari coffee is known for its extremely varied flavors and sweetness. Fruity, sparkling notes of cherries, raspberries, wild strawberries, jostaberries, and currants, vinous notes, and a wonderful, restrained sweetness as the basic tone are characteristic.
