Caffelab COLOMBIA San Alberto

An excellent coffee, balanced and aromatic, with intense sweet scents that recall tropical fruit and ripe citrus fruits that evolve into the creaminess of cream and caramel. In the aftertaste, there is also a pleasant floral vein.

The EMURSA association was founded in 2015 in a small village in the province of Toledo, North-Eastern Colombia, founded by 22 women. Today the group represents 25 plots of land used to produce coffee, fruit, cereals, and other products these families need.

The village is located 8 hours from the nearest town, so families barter for basic necessities. They do not have access to fertilizers, therefore all the products that are applied for the development of the plants are of natural origin, so much so that they are about to obtain the organic certificate. This  Specialty Coffee is Women's Coffee Project certified.

In recent years they have invested time and resources to improve the quality of their coffee, as it is among the most profitable products. This batch is processed with the washed method and develops pleasant acidity and sweetness.

When tested according to the SCA protocol, this unique lot obtained a score of 84 points.
