BRAZIL Caracolito

The Caracolito is a particular selection of Brazilian coffee. This lot comes from the southern area of the Minas Gerais region.

NOTES ON GREEN

This coffee has an average of 18-19 sieves and the defect rating ranges from very low to zero.

If toasted as an espresso (action 50-55, Italian) it forms a cream of a marked hazelnut, with slight nuances. On the nose, sensations of toasted bread and light caramel are perceived, in line with many Brazilian coffees. To the taste, the coffee has a light but pleasant body, good acidity, and decidedly soft bitterness.

If toasted by filter and brewing (action 65-70, full city) the acid becomes slightly more intense, the sweetness more rounded and the sensations on the nose slightly more fruity.

On the youngest branches of the plant it is possible to find only one bean in the drupes, this occurs spontaneously, in nature, in practically all species of coffee. The bean, which the English call peaberry, is rounded and is called Caracolito or " Caffè Perla".
