Coffee for Valentine’s Day

Coffee, as we all know, can be drunk usually for breakfast in the morning, after lunch, and even in the evening. It’s a drink that can be prepared in many ways, which we will see further, and going to a coffee shop on Valentine's could be a very romantic date. Many guys don’t know what to do for their girlfriends on this day and they find themselves worrying about how to make their date a special one. So now we’ll see some of the most popular coffee drinks that would be perfect for Valentine’s Day.

Frappuccino

One of the most famous drinks is Frappuccino. As the name, of Italian origin,  suggests, it is a mix between cappuccino and milkshake that in the United States has been so successful that it has become in a certain sense the symbol of the Seattle chain. It is a cold drink that is typically served in 12-, 16- or 24-ounce glasses, equal to about 350, 470, or 710 centiliters. That is, in simpler terms, from the size of a can of carbonated soft drink up to about three-quarters of a liter.

It is produced in different variations, to satisfy all types of tastes. In addition to the “smooth” version, the Mocha Frappuccino (flavored with “mocha sauce”, and with whipped cream on top) is very successful. Also, worth mentioning are the Caramel Frappuccino (caramel flavored), the Java Chip Frappuccino (with chocolate chips), and the Coffee Frappuccino. There are many possible flavors: cinnamon, chestnuts, coconut, ginger, peppermint, pumpkin, and so on. Since this is one of the most famous coffee drinks, we will see a homemade preparation of it.

Ingredients:

·   250 ml Milk (cold)

·   Coffee

·   3 tablespoons Sugar

·   Ice (in cubes)

·   Spray cream

·   Chocolate topping (or other, to garnish according to your tastes)

Preparing the Frappuccino is really simple: first, you just need to pour the milk, coffee, and sugar into a mixer and blend everything for a few seconds.

Then add the ice cubes and blend again so that the ice turns into finely chopped crystals that will give freshness and a touch of crunchiness to the Frappuccino.

Pour the mixture into a tall glass, sprinkle with spray cream and garnish the Frappuccino with whatever you like best: chocolate or caramel topping, chocolate flakes, cocoa powder, chopped hazelnuts, you can set free your imagination and put whatever you want. Serve the Frappuccino strictly cold. You can add a pinch of vanillin to your Frappuccino to give it a light spicy taste. You can also substitute fresh cream for spray if you like it better! Just buy some fresh liquid cream and whip it in the blender together with the sugar. Be careful not to mount it for too long or it will disassemble!

Vanilla Latte

The word "latte" indicates a middle ground between latte and cappuccino. In practice, a discrete layer of creamy milk is placed on an espresso coffee base; the whole can then be flavored in various ways. Here, too, the dimensions range from 350 to 710 grams, but generally, there is also a smaller 240-gram cup. The best-selling version is the Vanilla Latte, with vanilla syrup. However, cinnamon milk is also available in any coffee shop list, while any syrup can be added to choose from among those available. All Latte can then be ordered in a cold version.

Iced Caramel Macchiato

Macchiato is coffee with a touch of milk, but the drink can also consist of more milk than coffee. This is the case, for example, of Caramel Macchiato, one of the best sellers, in which vanilla syrup and a sprinkling of caramel are added to espresso and milk. This version is sold both hot and especially cold and is very popular with Americans.

White Chocolate Mocha

Another line of product that has enjoyed success for years is that of Mocha. Under this word, which indicates "mocha", there are a series of drinks consisting largely of espresso coffee, but with the addition of a chocolate sauce and, in general, with whipped cream. Also, in this case, there are various versions available, but the best-selling is probably the White Chocolate Mocha. Here too it is a soft drink (from 240 to 710 grams) made in the way I have just finished describing, with the addition of whipped cream flavored with white chocolate.

Then there are the Caffe Mocha, which is the “smooth” version, and the Salted Caramel Mocha, with toffee syrup and caramel. In addition, all these types of espresso can be served in a cold version, or with low-fat milk.

Flat White

Finally, the Flat White deserves a mention, strictly hot but always served in large glasses. The core of this drink is made up of the combination of restricted coffee and skimmed milk, mixed in more or less equal parts. Finally, a splash of foam is placed on top of this base. In this case, as in almost all the other types of drinks, you can opt for various types of milk. You can thus choose to use whole milk, skim milk, coconut milk, and, in the United States, even soy milk.

Also, it is worth mentioning that all of these drinks can be customized with something on top, a heart shape, or even a photo of you and your loved one as a shape.
