The history of AJINOMOTO
General Foods Co was founded in 1954 when it launched instant coffee "Maxwell" in 1960 and "Coffee Gift" in 1968.
He became a pioneer of Japanese coffee culture. We aim to further spread the coffee culture by advancing into "regular coffee for business use" and making "stick coffee" as a gift. In 1988, he proposed a new concept, "bottle coffee." We have prepared a lineup where you can easily enjoy coffee with ice cream at home. In 2001, released a cup of drip coffee. In 2002, we launched a stick-type coffee that allows you to enjoy authentic taste easily and easily.
Respond to various consumer needs by developing flavors for black tea, cocoa, matcha, etc. In April 2015, it became a 100% Ajinomoto group and started the "second founding". In April 2016, we took over the gift business of Ajinomoto Co., Inc. and integrated the gift business. In July 2017, the company name was changed to Ajinomoto AGF Co., Ltd. Ajinomoto has a lot of coffee categories such as regular coffee, instant coffee, bottle coffee, personal instant coffee, creaming powder, and many more.
